What is a referral advice?

A well design advice answers the question: how much groundwater should we extract to keep a construction well or sewer duct dry, and what measures are necessary for that? Without proper well design, any excavation below the groundwater level will immediately fill up.

What is hydrology?

(Geo)hydrological research visualizes water flows and groundwater flows. Geohydrology looks at the behavior of water in the deeper soil.

With geological maps, data and our own measurements, we map out how groundwater flows and what flows you can expect in a construction pit or river project.

A well in sandy soil behaves very differently from a well in clay. We will explain this difference to you.

To whom do we work?

  • Contractors who install sewer systems, basements or foundations
  • Municipalities in case of redevelopment and infiltration projects
  • Project developers who build underground parking garages
  • Restorers who have to remove groundwater contamination

Our approach

From withholding a permit to revocation

A complete fertilization advice that takes the environment into account.

01. Extrusion dimensioning

We calculate how much groundwater must be extracted to keep the construction pit dry. This depends on depth, area, soil structure, and the duration of the work.

02. Effects on the environment

Groundwater extraction has an impact on the environment. We calculate the impact area and advise on measures to prevent damage to adjacent buildings or nature.

03. Permit process

For larger discharges, a permit or notification is required from the water quality management body. Our report forms the basis for that application.

Frequently asked questions

Get in touch
Do you carry out the feeding yourself?

No, we advise. The implementation is carried out by a specialized plumbing contractor. We prepare the plan so that they know what flow rate and what equipment is needed.

When is a withdrawal permit required?

This varies per water board. For larger flows and longer withdrawal periods, a permit or notification obligation is almost always required. We help you determine what applies to your project.

Can you also provide advice on water problems during construction?

Yes. Our own field capacity allows us to react quickly if unexpected problems arise at the construction site.
